From their position as a prestigious national key university with nearly 50 years of

development, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) deeply understands its
responsibility to provide high-quality human resources and transfer knowledge to Southern
Vietnam. In 2019, UEH embarked on its “Local Mission” journey in the country’s largest delta
region, the Mekong Delta, with the establishment of UEH Vinh Long, marking the beginning of
ve years of dedicated contributions towards a sustainable Mekong!

As a prestigious national key university with nearly 50 years of development,
UEH comprehends its duty to train high-quality human resources and transfer

knowledge to Southern Vietnam.
With enthusiastic support from the Ministry of Education and Training, Vinh
Long Province, and the dedicated faculty of the College of Economics and
Finance Vinh Long, UEH initiated their “local mission” journey in the Mekong

Delta.
On December 4, 2019, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision
No. 4655/QĐ-BGDĐT to establish the Vinh Long Campus of UEH. The campus
was created with a mission to train high-quality human resources for the
Mekong Delta and the nation, to conduct research and to transfer knowledge
in socio-economic elds, to address climate change, and to support
sustainable regional development through entrepreneurship, innovation, and

policy advocacy.

2020 - Starting
THE JOURNEY OF HIGH QUALITY HUMAN RESOURCES TRAINING

In 2020, UEH Vinh Long o cially began their undergraduate training programs. These
programs not only inherit UEH’s training philosophy but are also tailored to the trends
and workforce needs of the Mekong region.
